Dramatic Role Play

Is essential for early learning and we believe in dramatic play furniture that is open-ended - where the children themselves are encouraged to supply the creative ideas that transform everyday items into an adventure. The warmth and comfort of a cosy home atmosphere and our modular Play works units are designed to inspire your children's imaginations and transform to fit any creative theme - eg home kitchen, restaurant, doctor's/dentist's surgery, office, shop or anything else they may decide them to be!

Music
Music helps to develop young brains and plays a strong role in our day to day activities.
We have special music activities and also play music during other activities, for example, during arts and crafts or meal times.
Some of the music we use may include classical, children's songs (by a variety of artists), and others.

Everyday Experiences

Everyday home activities such as cooking, preparing snacks and helping to sort clean laundry provide plenty of opportunities for developing their maths and science skills as well as helping to nurture a sense of well-being and belonging in children by contributing dramatically towards the development of self-esteem.

Our television is rarely used. On the rare occasion that it is, it would be with strict controls on the time spent watching - usually a maximum of 30 minutes during 'quiet time' Also at the end of the childcare day when we are all winding down. Young children are extremely impressionable and viewing is limited to child-friendly, educational-style programmes or DVD/Videos.
